Video of a brawl on the Alabama River went viral on Saturday August 5, 2023. The brawl is a popular topic for social media influencers bringing attention to the heroic acts of one 16yr old dubbed "Black Aquaman". We know now the name of "Black Aquaman", courtesy of someone claiming to be "Aquaman's" publicist. According to the publicist "Aquaman's" name is Arren.
The altercation between a boat owner and what appears to be a Port employee was captured on video. The boat owner can be seen on video throwing a punch at the Port employee. The Port employee's reaction was to take off his hat and throw it in the air, then proceed to take a defensive stance against an aggressive, violent boat owner. The employee began to fight off the boat owner, then suddenly approximately five more Port visitors joined in the altercation assisting the boat owner with a barrage of punches and kicks leveled on the Port employee.
Moments later the video captures Arren aka "Black Aquaman" swimming in the Alabama River toward the Port dock where the Port employee was being attacked and joined in the fight in defense of the Port employee. Moments later, the video captured upwards of at least ten other individuals coming to the Port employee's defense. Then, more supports of the boat owner joined in the fight, and the rest is now history. Individuals on both sides were arrested.
However, authorities are not releasing the names of the individuals involved.
Members of the Social Media Community did their research and found owners of a grocery store in Selma Alabama were involved. The grocery store owners made an appeal to the public asking the public not to submit unfavorable reviews or comments on their business in connection to their involvement in the altercation, which turned into an all-out brawl on the Alabama River.
Many of Social Media deemed the brawl as a start of a race war that has been brewing for several months. The African-American community are celebrating the brawl as a victory because finally African-Americans came together to protect and fight for their own. Some White Americans are in shock and in support of those that came to the aid of the Port employee. While others in the white community are afraid the brawl will further the divide between "whites and blacks" in America.
In the video, you can see white Americans rushing towards the boat owner and the Port employee, but not to break up the fight, but instead the white Americans are seen on video participating in plummeting the Port employee, as the Port employee lay on the dock defenseless against the white American mob.

The brawl ended when Port Police and Security arrived on the scene and begin placing individuals in handcuffs. The looming question is this brawl an indication of a 21st Century Civil War in America? Or will Americans forget about the brawl and continue with business as usual?
