Deon Sanders aka Coach Prime is living up to the hype and making his doubters look duboius

After Colorado beat the 17th ranked TCU in a very competitive match 45-42, Coach Prime wasted no time in addressing and silencing the doubters during his press conference. He acknowledged the good and bad of his team, gave credit where credit was due and acknowledged that special teams and the defense need to improve.

Coach Prime motivating his team

Coach Prime lead the Colorado Buffalo team, who was 1-11 last year to a big victor over a TCU team that had competed in the semi finals for a national champion title.

Coach Prime has resurrected a football team who had fell from grace and had lost its identity, into a team to be watched, reckon with, and a team want to win.

Shedeur Sanders, the coach’s son, threw for a school-record 510 yards with four touchdowns and a game-winner, 46-yard catch-and-run by true freshman Dylan Edwards with 4:25 left and the Buffaloes pulled off an opening shocker with a 45-42 win Saturday over their opponent.

Sanders completed 38 of 47 passes and the Buffaloes had four 100-yard receivers for the first time ever: Travis Hunter and Dylan Edwards each had five catches, 135 yards, Jimmy Horn Jr. had 11 catches, 117 yards with a TD and Xavier Weaver had six catches, 118 yards.

Colorado outscored TCU 565-541 total yards. Hunter, the former top recruit who came with the quarterback and coach from FCS school Jackson State, had 11 catches for 119 yards. As a defensive back, he had one of the two interceptions that TCU’s Chandler Morris threw in or near the end zone. He played over 120 snaps.

TCU's final drive came to an end with a fourth-down stop around midfield, and Colorado, playing its final season in the Pac-12 before returning to the Big 12 to share a conference with the Horned Frogs, was able to run out the final minute.

HBCUs and its students should be proud of what they are seeing from Coach Prime and his former players including Coach Prime's son, Sheduer and Shilo Sanders, who were considered underdogs after Coach Prime was hired to be the head coach for Colorado.

Coach Prime brought his sons and some players from his former team, Jackson State, where they won a SWAC Champion the previous year.

With all the high accolades and successes that Coach Prime received as a former player and coach, the doubters couldn't believe what they saw as Coach Prime demonstrated that he is the man for job and that his team is here to compete. It was a master class of coaching and elevating his team to the next level to win.

I believe he really silenced the doubters and let everyone know that there is a new sheriff in town and he is taking names, settling the scores and producing receipts by competing to win on the football field.
